BJP Rejects Tamil Nadu Power Bid
Tamil Nadu BJP says it respects the people’s mandate and will stay away from all attempts to form a new government.

Tamil Nadu BJP president Nainar Nagendran on Friday said the party wholeheartedly accepts the Assembly election results and respects the verdict delivered by the people of Tamil Nadu.
Addressing the media after the election outcome, Nagendran said the BJP had not received the mandate or the opportunity to form the government in the state. He stressed that the party would not be associated with any move aimed at forming a new government in Tamil Nadu.
“The people have not given the BJP any opportunity or power to form the government in Tamil Nadu in this election. We deeply respect the will of the people and the election results,” he said.
Nagendran further clarified that the Tamil Nadu BJP would neither directly participate in government formation efforts nor support any party involved in such attempts. He added that the BJP would not vote in favour of any political formation seeking to establish a government in the state.
The statement comes amid political discussions over possible post-poll alignments following the Assembly election results in Tamil Nadu.
