BJP Big Shots Protecting Muruganandam, Charges Woman Complainant

TIRUCHY: Former Tamil Nadu BJP general secretary Karuppu Muruganandam is escaping from police action in connection with my cheating complaint because of BJP big shots, said Divya Seshadri, who lodged the police complaint, and sought justice through the Tamil Nadu government.
Under Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay’s rule there is talk that there will be total security for women; but I cannot understand why the police have not arrested Karuppu Muruganandam so far, she told mediapersons at Tiruchy Thursday.

So, Muruganandam applied for anticipatory bail in the Madurai bench of the Madras high court. But the court refused to grant him bail and even after this, the police did not arrest him. Now, the Supreme Court has granted anticipatory bail to him.
Divya told mediapersons that she was from Bengaluru and had issues with her property.
At the time, Muruganandam approached her and assured to help her. Thereafter, they fell in love and she was housed at Tiruchy. She said she also admitted her children in schools by saying that he was their guardian. For the last two years, she had been a slave to him, she recalled.
Despite this, he had accused her and she preferred a complaint against him through the party. After she filed a police complaint, a case was registered against him, she pointed out.
Though he sought anticipatory bail from the Madurai bench, the court rejected his plea. Following this, he absconded, she alleged.
“I informed the police, but the police did not arrest him. For the last 40 days, he has been moving freely as no action was taken against him. In the meantime, he has obtained anticipatory bail from the Supreme Court,” she said.
He is escaping from police action because of important BJP persons, she charged.
Although he has been suspended from the party, even now some big shots of the BJP are still supporting him, she added.
Divya said she wanted justice, with the Tamil Nadu government taking severe action against Muruganandam.
