Australia’s AVID Group To Invest Rs. 15,000 Crore In Tamil Nadu
Mining and infrastructure conglomerate signs Rs. 7,000-crore initial MoU, plans five-year investment across multiple sectors

AVID Group will invest nearly Rs. 15,000 crore in urban infrastructure, tourism, healthcare and mining components manufacturing in Tamil Nadu.
Australia’s AVID Group, a mining and infrastructure conglomerate, has proposed an investment of approximately Rs. 15,000 crore in Tamil Nadu over the next five years with an initial MoU of Rs. 7,000 crore signed at the Vetri Tamil Nadu Investment Conclave 2026.
The investment spans urban infrastructure, experiential tourism, healthcare and mining components manufacturing. The projects are planned near Chennai and Thoothukudi. The initial phase is expected to create around 12,000 direct and indirect jobs.
This is among the largest multi-sector FDI commitments at the conclave.
