Chennai: The AIADMK on Tuesday invited applications from party functionaries seeking to contest the upcoming by-elections to two Assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu. In a press release, AIADMK general secretary and former Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami stated that the by-polls to the Madurantakam (SC) and Dharapuram (SC) constituencies are scheduled to be held on October 6.
Party cadres wishing to contest the elections on behalf of the AIADMK can obtain the application forms from the party headquarters in Chennai starting Tuesday, added the release.
The forms can be collected and submitted daily between 10 am and 6 pm until Thursday, September 10, the release said.
Palaniswami asked the aspirants to clearly fill in all requisite details and submit the completed application forms at the headquarters before 6 pm on September 10.
