63 Bull-Tamers Injured in Pudukkottai Jallikattu Event

PUDUKKOTTAI: As many as 63 bull-tamers were injured in the first jallikattu (bull-taming) event of Tamil Nadu that took place at Thatchankurichi village, near Gandarvakottai, in Pudukkottai district, on Saturday.
In total, 600 bulls from different parts of the state, including Tiruchy and the southern districts, and 300 bull-tamers participated.
State ministers S. Regupathy and Siva. V. Meyyanathan, Collector Aruna and others participated in the inaugural event.

Elaborate police bandobast was provided for the event.
