4 Schoolgirls of a Family Die in Accident
At a turning near the Sakkarampalayam junction, a bus belonging to Muthayammal Engineering College, travelliing from Rasipuram, collided with their vehicle, resulting in the deaths of all four girls
Namakkal: Four schoolgirls from the same family lost their lives when a college bus collided with the two-wheeler by which the girls were travelling near the Sakkarampalayam junction, close to Tiruchengode in Namakkal district.
On Thursday evening, the eldest daughter of Sekar and Amutha, Savitha (also known as Kalaiselvi, 19), a college student, rode her two-wheeler to pick up her younger sisters from Elachipalayam Government Higher Secondary School -- Nivetha (17, Class 11) and Dhanushree (13, Class 7)—besides her paternal uncle Ramesh Babu's daughter, Abinaya (12, Class 6).
At a turning near the Sakkarampalayam junction, a bus belonging to Muthayammal Engineering College, travelliing from Rasipuram, collided with their vehicle, resulting in the deaths of all four girls. The Elachipalayam police recovered the bodies, and sent them to the Tiruchengode Government Hospital for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
