15 Persons Duped of Rs 2 Cr, Assuring Jobs Abroad
The affected persons said that a person belonging to Papanasam taluk collected Rs 2 crore at the rate of Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh per person from 50 persons.

Thanajavur:Nearly 15 persons on Monday submitted a petition to Thanjavur district collector R.Revathi to take action against a person who cheated them to the tune of Rs 2 crore, promising to get them jobs abroad.
The affected persons said that a person belonging to Papanasam taluk collected Rs 2 crore at the rate of Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh per person from 50 persons.
''Two years have gone by since he got the money. But he did not get jobs for us. He did not return the money either. So we are in distress. We borrowed money from friends, relatives and paid him. So we request the collector to take suitable action," they said in the petition.
