VD Satheesan Condemns Party Office Attacks Amid Congress-Yuva Morcha Tensions

Thiruvananthapuram: Keralam Chief Minister V D Satheesan on Wednesday condemned the attacks on the Congress offices in the district, terming them as a "heinous attack".
The CM, in an 'X' post, said that such methods are not in line with Keralam's political culture.
While not blaming anyone for the incidents, he said that the state will strongly resist the politics of violence.
The CM said that the perpetrators of the attacks will be identified soon and punished.
"I strongly condemn the attacks on the Thiruvananthapuram DCC office and the Aanavoor Congress office. A most heinous attack was carried out against the offices. Such methods do not align with Keralam's political culture.
"Suppressing dissent is a fascist approach. Democratic Keralam will strongly resist the politics of violence. I assure that the culprits will be identified immediately and brought to justice," he said in his post.

Visuals aired on TV channels showed a man pouring petrol on the posters of Satheesan and late former CM Oommen Chandy on the office compound wall and setting it on fire.
One BJP worker has been arrested by the Kerala police over the incident.
CCTV footage aired by channels also showed two persons in a scooter arriving at the Thiruvananthapuram DCC office and pelting stones at the building, damaging windows and glass doors, and then riding away.
