Revanth Reddy Holds Roadshow in Kerala Capital, Galvanise Cadres

Revanth Reddy uses Mohanlal’s iconic dialogue to charm voters in Kerala Tells his Kerala counterpart, “Nee po mone Vijayan, “your time is over”

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy energized the Congress-led UDF cadres while joining an intense campaign in the prestigious Nemom constituency of Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday.

He appealed for votes for Congress candidate K S Sabarinathan during a roadshow across the constituency. Reddy borrowed Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s iconic dialogue from the Mollywood blockbuster "Narasimham" to bid farewell to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who is seeking a third term. “Nee po mone Dinesha, Nee po mone Vijayan – your time is over,” he declared from atop the campaign vehicle, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.

Revanth Reddy is a well-known figure in Kerala, having actively campaigned during the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. The Congress-led UDF achieved a remarkable victory, winning 18 out of 20 seats.

Reddy held street corner meetings, urging voters to bring the Congress-led UDF to power in Kerala and to support Rahul Gandhi in his fight against the BJP and for upholding the Constitution. “Revanth Reddy ji has energized UDF workers by joining the roadshow. Our fight for secularism and development is resonating with the people,” said UDF candidate Sabarinathan.

He said the Telangana Chief Minister’s extensive campaigning in the constituency shows the importance the Congress leadership places on the Nemom seat. “A UDF victory here will be a win for the Constitution, secularism, and development,” he added.

AICC general secretary in charge of Kerala, Deepa Dash Munshi, joined the Telangana Chief Minister during the campaign.

In what is seen as a prestigious battle, the BJP has fielded its strongest candidate, state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar, against sitting MLA and Education Minister V. Sivankutty. The Congress-led UDF hopes to create a surprise with Sabarinathan, ramping up his campaign.
