Over 70 Mobile Phones Lost by Ayyappa Devotees During Darshan at Sabarimala Recovered by Pamba Police
In a special drive conducted in September to recover phones lost by devotees visiting the Sabarimala temple, Pamba Police retrieved over 70 mobile phones from eight states.

Thiruvananthapuram: In a special drive conducted in September to recover phones lost by devotees visiting the Sabarimala temple, Pamba Police retrieved over 70 mobile phones from eight states.
According to the police, the recovered phones are worth more than Rs 10 lakh in total.
The devices, registered and blocked via the Central Government's Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal, were traced by the police.
Those currently using the phones were contacted by phone and through notices, and brought to the Pamba Police station from various states.
The police are now taking steps to send the phones back to their original owners by parcel.
The special drive was conducted under the directions of Pathanamthitta District Police Chief R. Anand, with the investigation jointly handled by Pathanamthitta Cyber Police officers and over 20 personnel from the Pampa police station, led by Inspector C. K. Manoj.
