Organs Of Brain-Dead Thiruvananthapuram Man Save Lives Of Six
Bijilal Krishna succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the Government Medical College Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The organs of a 42-year-old man, declared brain dead after a road accident in Thiruvananthapuram, have saved six lives.
Bijilal Krishna succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the Government Medical College Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram. The accident occurred early on July 7,2025, near the Kowdiar traffic lights when his two-wheeler collided with a water tanker. Despite being rushed to the hospital and treated in the Intensive Care Unit, his condition deteriorated, and doctors confirmed brain death on July 17.
The family members of Bijilal gave consent for donating his organs. According to Kerala State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (K-SOTTO), his kidneys, liver, heart valves and corneas were transplanted to patients who are admitted in different hospitals.
Health Minister Veena George expressed heartfelt condolences over the untimely passing of the youth. She praised his family for their noble decision to donate his organs, helping to save the lives of others.
Bijilal owned a salon near Kattakada, located on the outskirts of the city.
