Kerala Muslim League MLA Fathima Issues Stern Warning to ‘Paparazzis’

“Mend your ways or face legal action”

Thiruvanathapuram: Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) MLA Fathima Thahiliya has issued a stern warning to those allegedly recording and sharing unauthorised videos of her personal interactions and private moments.

Posting on social media, the Perambra MLA said such activities amount to stalking and invasion of privacy, and could lead to strict legal action. In her Facebook post on Tuesday, the legislator explained that as part of her responsibilities as an elected representative, she attends numerous public events where organisers typically assign authorised photographers and videographers.

However, she pointed out that some individuals have been attending these events under the guise of media without proper identification or authorisation, making it hard to differentiate between official and unauthorised media presence.

Fathima alleged that there is a tendency to misuse visuals of conversations and interactions by editing the footage. These are later posted on social media in a distorted manner, which amounts to a serious violation of privacy. She added that those engaging in paparazzi-style activities would be dealt with legally.
