Kerala Child Rights Commission Goes Digital For Real-Time Assessment

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala child rights panel on Wednesday launched a digital dashboard to streamline district-level data collection and support real-time monitoring and evidence-based policymaking.
State Women and Child Development Minister Bindhu Krishna launched the dashboard at her chamber here, according to a statement.
Developed by the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, the unified digital platform will compile monthly district-level data on child protection, implementation of the Juvenile Justice Act, POCSO cases, child rights, rehabilitation, legal aid, and the progress of related cases.
The Commission said the absence of a unified platform for collating such information had hindered state-level reviews and evidence-based policy formulation. The new dashboard aims to bridge that gap.
The system is expected to enable real-time assessment of child protection mechanisms, ensure the uniform availability of district-wise data, strengthen inter-departmental coordination, and simplify the preparation of reports and analytical studies, it said.
During the event, Commission Chairperson K V Manoj Kumar presented the Commission's 2025-26 annual report to the minister.
The minister also released a report containing recommendations from the Child Rights Conclave, along with a publication on the welfare and protection of children with disabilities.
Besides Kumar, Commission members and other officials were present on the occasion.
