Missing Plaint On Priyanka
Congress student wing KSU lodged a similar complaint against Suresh Gopi earlier

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A day after the Congress-led student organisation Kerala Students Union (KSU) filed a "missing" complaint against Thrissur MP and Union Minister Suresh Gopi, the BJP lodged a similar complaint against Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
BJP Kerala ST Morcha president Mukundan Kumundan Palliyara filed the complaint with the Superintendent of Police Wayanad district, alleging that Priyanka Gandhi had been missing from public duties for nearly three months.
In his complaint, the BJP leader claimed that Priyanka had not visited the landslide affected Chooralmala area, where hundreds of people lost their lives and property worth crores of rupees was damaged last year. He pointed out that Wayanad has one of the highest populations of Scheduled Tribes in the state and the MP had failed to address their concerns.
On Sunday, KSU district president Gokul Guruvayur filed a complaint with the Thrissur East Police, alleging that Suresh Gopi had been absent from his constituency for more than three months. The MP was reportedly untraceable when two Kerala nuns were arrested in Chhattisgarh on charges of human trafficking. He remained silent throughout the incident, even as MPs from Kerala belonging to the UDF and LDF rushed to Chhattisgarh to secure the release of the nuns.
The BJP had refuted the allegations and stated that a party delegation had visited Chhattisgarh to help the nuns.
