Woman Arrested on Charge of Performing Black Magic on a Judge
Accused booked after CCTV captured her scattering mustard seeds on judge's chair.

Bengaluru: Chikkaballapur police arrested a woman identified as Manjula, 65, on charge of spreading white mustard seeds on the hair of 1st Additional Senior Civil Judge and JMFC Court, a couple of days back, amounting to practise of black magic. However, the reason for the woman taking such a step was not known immediately.
The spreading of white mustard seeds on the chair of the Judge came to the knowledge of the staff over a CCTV footage. On learning of the incident, Court’s Chief Administrative Officer Netra filed a complaint with the police who swung into action to arrest the woman involved in the incident which was caught on camera.
The woman entered the Court Hall prior to the Judge arriving at the chair and spread white mustards to make a quick exit. However, her act was caught on camera installed inside the Court hall. On receiving a complaint, police investigated the case and made the arrest. The Court remanded the accused to judicial custody for 14-days.
The woman has been charged under Karnataka Prevention and Eradication of Inhuman Evil Practices and Black Magic act, 2017.
