Wanted Criminals of Bihar Arrested In Bengaluru
The arrested father and son were produced in a Court in Bengaluru and on transit warrant the accused were handed over to Bihar police
BENGALURU: In a coordinated effort by Special Task Force (STF) of Bihar and Bengaluru police arrested two dreaded criminals at a location under Kodigehalli police station limits of Bengaluru city on Wednesday before they were handed over to Bihar police on a transit warrant.
The arrested have been identified as Manoj Singh alias ‘Doctor’ and his son Manik Singh. The duo were wanted by Bihar police for over a couple of years before they were traced in Bengaluru.
Manoj Singh and Manik Singh were arrested by Bihar police in 2015 and the duo were released on bail. Father-son were on the run for some years and they face various serious criminal cases against them mainly in Bihar. They had extended their activities in Odisha and Jharkhand as well.
Confirming the arrest of father-son in Bengaluru, Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru Seemanth Kumar Singh said the two criminals were hiding at a location under Kodigehalli police when they were picked-up and secured before they were handed over to Bihar police.
However, Kumar said, the cases against the father-son duo was known to him immediately but stated both of them faced serious criminal charges in Bihar.
