Vijayendra Alleges Misuse Of Officials In SIR Exercise, Demands Fair Electoral Roll Revision

Bidar: BJP state president BY Vijayendra alleged that the state government, which had earlier opposed the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, was now misusing officials and exerting pressure on them to include illegal migrants in the voters' list.
Addressing reporters he alleged that there was an attempt to issue Permanent Residence Certificates (PRCs) to illegal migrants.
"Issuing PRCs to illegal migrants amounts to an anti-national act. The government is doing this to prevent a fair and transparent revision of electoral rolls. The BJP is creating awareness among the public on this issue," he alleged.
He said the BJP had taken the SIR exercise seriously in Bidar and that the party organisation was working in a coordinated manner.
