Two Students of Bangalore Varsity Attacked By Stray Dog

The students who came under attack from a stray dog are identified as Soujanaya a native of Haveri district and Rega Nikshitha from Telangana.

Bengaluru: Two students came under attack from a stray dog in Bangalore University campus on Tuesday and one the student is said to be injured critically. The incident is said to have occurred at around 11 am.

The stray dog came on students when a senior citizen of Kodigehalli was attacked by a pack of stray dogs about a fortnight back is fresh in the minds of the residents of Bengaluru. The senior citizen succumbed to injuries he sustained from the stray dogs attack.

The students who came under attack from a stray dog are identified as Soujanaya a native of Haveri district and Rega Nikshitha from Telangana. Both are students of integrated M. Sc., in Economics at Dr B.R. Ambedkar School of Economics University. Soujanya is critically injured and treated at a private hospital in the ICU ward and injured Rega is also undergoing treatment.

The stray attack on the students occurred in Bengaluru when a 70-year-old man identified as Seethappa, a resident of Kodigehalli came under attack from a pack of stray dogs a fortnight back. It is said Seethappa came out for a walk in the night after he found it hard to sleep.

Seethappa was attacked by a pack of about 8 stray dogs and screams of the senior citizen caught the attention of his family members who rushed to his rescue. By then, the packs had left Seethappa badly injured in his face, limbs and torso. His family members rushed him to hospital and doctors declared him dead.
