Toddlers Harassed At A Daycare Centre Attched To It Firm In Bengaluru, Case Registered

The matter came to the knowledge of Child Helpline before jurisdictional police intervened to register a case against the suspect under JJ Act to take up investigation.

BENGALURU: Police have booked a couple of caretakers under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act after they were alleged to have intimidated some toddlers at the daycare centre attached to an IT campus in Bengaluru, a couple of days back and verification of videos which were circulated in public domain are under verification to ascertain their authenticity the place of occurrence among others.

HAL police of Bengaluru registered cases against some of the suspects of the daycare centre where IT company employees leave their children during working hours and videos circulated showed caretakers indulging in alleged intimidation whenever toddlers cried or created disturbance.

It is alleged the toddlers were subjected to lock-up in western style toilet, sprayed their mouth with toilet jet spray, loaded onto washing machines among other mental and physical harassment. The matter came to the knowledge of Child Helpline before jurisdictional police intervened to register a case against the suspect under JJ Act to take up investigation. Some of the suspects in the alleged harassment to toddlers were questioned.
