Cong., BJP Leaders Come To Blows In Bidar
The meeting, which began in the morning to review various developmental issues in the district, took a tense turn within half an hour when the issue of a survey of a land in the Humnabad Assembly constituency was taken up for discussion.

Bidar: A heated argument between Congress MLC Bhimrao Patil and BJP MLA from Humnabad Siddu Patil nearly escalated into a physical altercation during the quarterly Karnataka Development Programme (KDP) meeting held at the Zilla Panchayat office in Bidar district on Monday.
The meeting, chaired by forest and Bidar district in-charge minister Eshwar B. Khandre, began in the morning to review development works in the district. However, within half an hour, tensions flared when the issue of a land survey in the Humnabad Assembly constituency was taken up for discussion.
As Siddu Patil was speaking, Bhimrao Patil objected strongly, rose from his seat and walked towards him, triggering a face-to-face verbal confrontation. The situation threatened to turn physical before additional superintendent of police Chandrakanth Poojary intervened and separated the two legislators. Police superintendent Pradeep Gunti and other officials ensured that both leaders were kept apart, preventing further escalation.
Bhimrao Patil was joined by his cousin, MLC Dr Chandrashekhar Patil, as the confrontation continued. Despite repeated attempts by police and officials to calm the situation, the leaders exchanged accusations and counter-accusations, disrupting the proceedings. Although minister Khandre tried to restore order, the meeting remained tense.
In the aftermath of the incident, the Humnabad tahsildar imposed prohibitory orders across Humnabad taluk with immediate effect and until further orders, citing the need to maintain peace and law and order.
