Suspension Of One More Ips Officer In Stampede Case Revoked
The revocation of four police officers was termed an “administrative” decision by Minister of Home Dr G. Parameshwar and added though their suspensions have been revoked but these officers will face departmental enquiry over the stampede incident.

BENGALURU: IPS officer Vikash Kumar Vikash suspension was revoked on Thursday by the State Government and with the revocation of the suspension, Vikash Kumar Vikash has been posted as Inspector General of Police (Internal Security Division), Bengaluru. After he was suspended, Vikash Kumar Vikash moved the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) challenging his suspension.
Vikash Kumar Vikash served as Additional Commissioner of Police before he was suspended by the State Government over stampede at the Chinnaswamy stadium on June 4 when large crowd gathering tried enter the stadium to witness the felicitation to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), a franchise cricket team, winning Indian Premier League (IPL)-2025 trophy.
Along with Vikash Kumar Vikash, the State Government placed then Commissioner of Police B. Dayananda, DCP Shekar H. Tekkannavar, C. Balakrishna and A.K. Girish under suspension over the stampede incident which claimed 11 persons and injured about 70.
A couple of days back, the State Government decided to revoke the suspension of four police officers- then Bengaluru Commissioner of Police B. Dayananda, DCP Shekar H. Tekkannavar, C. Balakrishna and A.K. Girish and they were reinstated now.

As per the State Government order on Thursday, the reinstated former Bengaluru Commissioner of Police B. Dayananda is posted as Additional Director General of Police, Prisons and Correctional Services, Bengaluru while Shekar H. Tekkannavar is Superintendent of Police, Intelligence, Bengaluru.
