Siddaramaiah Statue Appears at Night, Removed Within Hours in Kalaburagi

Kalaburagi:A statue of former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah made a brief appearance near the High Court Circle here on Wednesday night — only to be removed within hours by Kalaburagi City Corporation staff.

The statue was reportedly placed by unidentified persons on the roadside near the High Court late on Wednesday night without any permission.

The unauthorised installation came on the very day Chief Minister DK Shivakumar arrived in the city to participate in Kalyana Karnataka Utsav.

After being alerted about the installation, officials reached the spot during the night and covered the statue with a cloth. Later in the day the statue was removed from the spot and taken elsewhere by the officials.
