Priyank Kharge Hits Back at BJP, Questions Silence On KPSC Scam Accused
He also questioned the BJP’s silence over the alleged attempt by Kannale to flee the country and asked why the party had not spoken about Shivashankarappa Sahukar

Kalaburagi: Home Minister Priyank Kharge on Monday hit back at the BJP’s demand for his resignation, questioning the party leaders’ silence on Basavaraj Kannale, one of the main accused in the KPSC scam.
In a post on X, Kharge said the BJP leadership was “desperately” demanding his resignation but had failed to explain why it wanted him to step down. “Being loud won’t drown the truth,” Kharge said, questioning why the BJP was seeking his resignation.
“Why are BJP leaders silent on Basavaraj Kannale, one of the main accused in the KPSC scam? He is seen at official BJP meetings. He is seen with BJP leaders on national and international tours. He is seen seeking the blessings of their “Appaji.” BJP leaders attend his birthday celebrations. They are seen flagging off his business ventures and feeding him with great affection. Yet, somehow, it is my resignation they demand,” he posted along with the photos.
He also questioned the BJP’s silence over the alleged attempt by Kannale to flee the country and asked why the party had not spoken about Shivashankarappa Sahukar.
“And there is an even bigger question: How much did BJP leaders charge to make people KPSC members and Chairman? How many BJP leaders have actually spoken about the KPSC scam or demanded accountability?” he questioned.
