Overstaying Pakistani Mother And Son Arrested In Bagepalli
Their names were deleted from voters lists

BENGALURU: A mother and her son, Pakistani nationals, have been arrested by Bagepalli police of Chikkaballapura on charge of overstaying in the country without renewal of their passports nor acquiring citizenship. Besides, allegedly through fraudulent ways, the duo availed a ration card and entered into electoral rolls in 2003 before it was detected by officials concerned based on a tip-off.
On their return to Dubai, the family of Mohammad Ayub Khan stayed in Bengaluru and shifted to Bagepalli. To gather details from the mother and her son, officials concerned contacted Farha Naaz and her son Mohammad Fardin Khan at their house in Dasayyannagiripalli village of Bagepalli and upon verification of documents, it was established the mother and her son were not Indian citizens and availed ration cards and entered voters list through fraudulent ways.
Over the incident Bagepalli Tahsildhar Manisha N. Patri told Deccan Chronicle on Monday that Farha Naaz and Fardin Khan possessed Pakistani passports and their birth place was not in India. The Tashildhar explained a resident of Dasayyannagiripalli identified as Mohammed Ayub Khan was working in Dubai in 1993 and came into contact with Farha Naaz and they married in Dubai in 2003. The couple had their first child Mohammad Fardin Khan in 2004 who was born in Pakistan. The couple's second and third child was born in Dubai. The Tahsildhar said neither Naaz nor her children renewed their passports and had overstayed in the country.
The family of Mohammad Arif Khan returned to his native village to settle here. But his wife and first son’s stay in Bagepalli without citizenship came to the knowledge of officials and ration cards and names in voters list were deleted.
