Narrow escape for passenger after bus suspends mid air on Bangalore flyover
Bangalore: At least 15 passengers of a KSRTC bus had a providential escape after the bus in which they were traveling was dangling in the air after losing control when it hit a media of Madanaykanahalli flyover before jumping onto the other side.
The incident caused a major traffic problem on the highway for over two hours. The accident occurred when the bus was proceeding to Bangalore from Somwarpet via Tumakur. It could have been a major incident if the bus fell down 40-feet from the flyover. Of the 15 passengers, eight of them escaped with injuries.
According to police, the driver took a right turn on the highway and apparently lost control, hitting the divider at 11 am. On receiving information, the police rushed to the spot. With the help of locals, the police rescued the passengers and shifted the injured to nearby hospital for better treatment.
