Padmapriya is an all India number 7 ranked player in under 14 in the country and 37 ranked in Asia. She is coached by Raghuveer Ponnuswamy of Mysuru and she is a student of class 8th at Excel Public School, Mysuru. Her father is Dr Ramesh Kumar, Conservator of Forests (Project Tiger) Mysuru while her mother Dr Malathi Priya is Conservator of Forests (Mysuru circle).
