Mangaluru: Man Absconding for Nine Years Held in 2017 Assault Case

Mangaluru: A man who had been absconding for nearly nine years in a 2017 assault case was arrested by Mangaluru South police.
He has been produced before a court, which remanded him in judicial custody.
Police said that the accused Partha alias Parthasarathi was wanted in connection with a case registered under Sections 324, 326 and 504 of the IPC at Mangaluru South police station.
A long-pending case (LPC) warrant had been issued against him by the Second JMFC court in Mangaluru.
Acting on information about him, ASI Ganesh, head constable Manjunath (836) and constable Mallik Jan (2367) traced and arrested him near Kadri Maidan.
The accused was produced before the court, which remanded him in judicial custody.
