Karnataka: Swamiji Says Sankalpa Made For DK Shivakumar’s Continued Rule After 2028

The seer said no special pooja had been performed: Reports

GADAG: With Karnataka's political focus already turning towards the 2028 Assembly elections, Nonavinakere Swamiji's remarks that a sankalpa was performed seeking Chief Minister DK Shivakumar's continuation in power for another eight to 10 years after 2028 have triggered political buzz and gone viral.

The seer said no special pooja had been performed. Only an Ashtottara pooja and sankalpa had been conducted.

Explaining the sankalpa, the seer said prayers had been offered seeking good health, long life and future development for DK Shivakumar.

Referring to Shivakumar as a “raja pratyaksha devatha”, the seer said a sankalpa had been performed expressing the wish that he would continue in power from 2028 for another eight to 10 years.

The seer explained that a sankalpa was essentially a prayer seeking the blessings and success in one's endeavours.

Apart from Shivakumar's health, longevity and future development, prayers were also offered for good rainfall and crops, the seer said, adding that there would be rain.

The remarks, particularly those concerning Shivakumar continuing in power from 2028, have since gone viral.
