Karnataka: Six Dead, Two Injured in Road Accident at Talapady Cross
According to sources, two victims died on the spot, while four others succumbed to injuries at a private hospital in Deralakatte, Karnataka. The injured are undergoing treatment in Mangaluru.

Mangaluru: Six persons from Karnataka lost their lives and two others were injured in a road accident near Talapady Cross, just across the Karnataka–Kerala border, on Thursday afternoon. The mishap occurred in the Manjeshwar Police Station limits of Kerala around 1 pm.
Police said the accident took place when a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus heading towards Mangaluru rammed into an auto rickshaw carrying four passengers. It is said that the bus then hit two pedestrians who were waiting at a bus stop and later collided with another autorickshaw.
The deceased have been identified as Hyder Ali (autorickshaw driver), Khadeeja, Hasna, Nafeesa, and Ayisha Fida — all residents of Kotekar who were in the rickshaw — and Avamma from Farangipet. All hailed from Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka. The injured are Laxmi and Surendra, both residents of Kasargod, Kerala.
