Let The Charioteer (CM) Be Replaced As Well: Congress MLA KN Rajanna
Rajanna, a close confidante of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, told reporters in Bengaluru wanted the high command to initiate steps to clear confusion on the change of leadership in Karnataka.

Bengaluru: “When Ministers can be replaced (in case of cabinet reshuffle), then, why not charioteer (Chief Minister Siddaramaiah) be changed,” stated former minister and Congress MLA K.N. Rajanna over the change in leadership in Karnataka, and said, “I am committed to the earlier stance that a Dalit leader should become the Chief Minister.”
Rajanna, a close confidante of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, told reporters in Bengaluru on Tuesday that he wanted the high command to initiate steps to clear confusion on the change of leadership in Karnataka, and if dragged on (which has been going on for about 6 months), he feared that it would be “detrimental” for the party and also affect the “governance.”
The former minister said he brought to the notice of the central leadership his views on change of leadership in Karnataka, and ultimately, the Congress party leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, will arrive at a decision. The high command is at work.
“People have a feeling over a huge difference in Siddaramaiah comparing his first term as Chief Minister from 2013-18 and from May 2023 till date,” Rajanna said and stated, “There is a feeling that the Congress government has not lived up to its expectations when it came to addressing matters related to AHINDA (backward classes, minorities, and dalits)."
He said he will leave for New Delhi to meet central leaders after May 4.
Meanwhile, Iqbal Hussian, a Congress MLA and a close aide of Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, exuded confidence that “good days are fast approaching for Shivakumar” and stated, “The wish of Shivakumar (becoming Chief Minister) would come true by May 15.”
While the debate on change of leadership continues, Ministers Satish Jarkiholi and Dr H.C. Mahadevappa met the Karnataka party in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala in New Delhi, reportedly wanting an end to ongoing confusion on change of leadership.
