IAS Officer Gyanendra Kumar In Touch With Govt: Priyank Kharge

BENGALURU: IAS officer Gynanendra Kumar who was unreachable to his family members for two-days, however, established contact with the officials concerned of the State Government in Bengaluru on Saturday. The IAS officer was reportedly missing since his mobile phone was in switched off mode and no communication could happen with him by his family members. His last mobile phone location was traced to Kempegowda International Airport in Devanahalli near Bengaluru.
Disclosing the matter on his social media handle, Minister of Home Priyank Kharge stated “The officer concerned has communicated to officials concerned that he had to rush to his hometown following a family emergency. Gynanendra Kumar clarified that he sought leave to leave for his hometown.
Kharge said “During this period, he was not reachable on his official phone which appears to have led to some confusion and speculation regarding his whereabouts. The IAS officer contacted the State Government and clarified his position.
Prior to his clarification, speculations were rife that the IAS Officer went missing after a raid on his residence by sleuths of Directorate of Enforcement in connection with alleged recruit irregularities in filling-up veterinary officers posts through Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC). Kumar earlier served in KPSC.
