Bagalkot: District level guarantee implementation committee Chairman Anilkumar Daddi has warned the public against fake messages circulating on social media claiming that loans ranging from Rs 30,000 to Rs 3 lakh are being provided under the Gruha Lakshmi scheme.

In a statement, he clarified that the reports are completely false and urged people not to fall prey to such rumours.

He said the Gruha Lakshmi scheme is a monthly financial assistance programme and not a loan scheme. People have been advised not to fill unknown online links or share OTPs, bank details or personal information with anyone.

He cautioned beneficiaries against believing misleading content circulating on Instagram, YouTube and other social media platforms, and said only official government orders and press releases should be trusted.

Daddi also stated that the 30th instalment of financial assistance under the Gruha Lakshmi scheme has already been released for beneficiaries.

Beneficiaries facing issues related to guarantee schemes have been advised to contact their respective taluk-level guarantee committees or the district guarantee committee chairpersons and members for assistance, the statement added.
