Four Killed in Mandya as Bus Crashes Into Car
Car occupants died on the spot after a state-owned bus collided with their vehicle on Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway

Four people traveling in a car were killed on the spot after their vehicle was crushed in a collision with a state-owned bus near Thoobinakere in Mandya on Thursday.
The victims were identified as Satyananda Raje Urs (51), his wife Nischitha (45), Chandrashekar (62), and his wife Suvedini Rani (62). They were on their way to Periyapatna taluk in Mysuru district from their residence in J.P. Nagar, Bengaluru, via Mandya when the accident occurred.
According to reports, the car driver initially attempted to exit the Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway onto a bypass road near Thoobinakere but changed his mind at the last moment and remained on the main carriageway. A state-owned bus traveling from Bengaluru then collided with the car from behind, crushing it. The impact of the crash killed all four occupants instantly.
Several passengers on the bus sustained minor injuries. Local residents rushed to the scene and helped extricate the bodies from the wreckage. The Mandya police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
