Former JDS Chief Expresses Wish To Launch A New Political Outfit In Karnataka

Regarding the plight of his former party-JDS after aligning with BJP, Ibrahim said JDS is neither here nor there and stated BJP has made its alliance partner sit in the bus stand.

BENGALURU: Former Union Minister and former State president of Janata Dal Secular (JDS) C.M. Ibrahim on Friday revealed his desire to launch a new political party in Karnataka as a third force against ruling Congress party and opposition and alliance partners-Bharatiya Janata Party and Janata Dal Secular (JDS).

Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru, Ibrahim said he has undertaken a tour of the districts and gathering details on how to launch a new party before arriving at a suitable decision on launching a new political outfit. “There is a desire to launch a new political party,” expressed Ibrahim.

Regarding the plight of his former party-JDS after aligning with BJP, Ibrahim said JDS is neither here nor there and stated BJP has made its alliance partner sit in the bus stand. Thereby not allowing the JDS to board the bus or return back.

Ibrahim declined to comment on his return to the Congress party.
