Explosives Used in Blounder Blasting Seized in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Explosive materials such as four bags of stone crusher power, each weighing about 20 kgs, gel explosives, as many as 30 live detonator (gelatin) cables, an earthmover, an excavator and a digging machine were seized by Hulimavu police and members Bomb Disposal Squad of Bengaluru at a location in Akshayanagar.

The seizure was made based on a complaint from a resident of Akshayanagar to Hulimavu police on Tuesday stating that some persons used explosives to blast boulders which in turn damages several houses in the layout.

Acting on the complaint they received from the resident, Hulimavu police along with members of Bomb Disposal Squad conducted a spot inspection as indicated by the complainant resident. The inspection by police led to seizure of explosives materials.

Police continue their investigation to identify and trace the persons involved in blasting in the vicinity of Akshayanagar.
