Eight Injured, Including Six Children, in Blast in Bidar’s Humnabad Taluk
Preliminary reports said the incident occurred on Molgi Marayya Temple Road. Children were on their way to school and waiting for their school van when the blast occurred.

Bidar: Eight persons, including six school-going children, were injured in a blast whose cause is yet to be ascertained in Molakera village of Humnabad taluk in Bidar district on Saturday morning.
Preliminary reports said the incident occurred on Molgi Marayya Temple Road. Children were on their way to school and waiting for their school van when the blast occurred. A youth, an elderly person and six schoolchildren sustained injuries.
Bidar SP Pradeep Gunti said that a total of eight persons were injured, including six children and two adults. Of the six children, two sustained minor injuries and were discharged after first aid, while four remain under treatment and are stated to be stable. The two adults suffered serious injuries and are undergoing treatment.
He said that multiple agencies, including intelligence units and forensic experts, have examined the site.
According to the preliminary report paint residue may have caused the blast.
The house owner near the spot had reportedly been undertaking painting work and installing fibre doors, for which paint and related materials were stored.
“Paint residue was found at the site, and preliminary forensic analysis suggests that chemicals stored over a period of time can trigger such a blast,” he added.
The injured who are being treated in the hospital are identified as Jabbar Razak (60), Anwar Jameer Saab (19), Busera Allavuddin (4), Areez Razak Saab (4), Arjan Razak (7) and Mastan Musa (8). Four of the children were admitted to BRIMS Hospital in Bidar. Jabbar and Anwar suffered serious injuries and remain in critical condition. While Jabbar has been shifted to Hyderabad for advanced medical care, Anwar is under treatment in Solapur.
DC Shilpa Sharma visited Hyderabad and enquired the health of Jabbar.
Following the incident, District In-charge Minister Eshwar B Khandre ordered a detailed investigation. He directed the district administration to ensure proper medical treatment for the injured and to bear their treatment expenses.
The Minister also instructed the Superintendent of Police and explosive detection experts to visit the spot, collect samples from the site, and conduct a scientific probe.
He said a comprehensive investigation should be carried out to ascertain the cause of the blast, the nature of the material involved, how it reached the spot, and for what purpose it was kept there. He further directed that strict legal action be taken against those responsible, once the cause is established.
Meanwhile, villagers alleged that similar blasts were happening in the area over the past six months.
They claimed that this was the fifth such incident, adding that in the first incident a boy was seriously injured, while no one was hurt in the subsequent three cases. The villagers said they were unable to ascertain the cause of these incidents.
