Manipal: T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), a constituent institution of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), has announced the appointment of Dr Debasis Pradhan as its new Director.
Dr Pradhan brings extensive academic experience, having spent more than 20 years at XLRI, Jamshedpur, where he served as a Full Professor of Marketing and held several leadership positions, including Associate Dean (Executive Education) and Chairperson of the Marketing Division.
His research interests include technology and consumer well-being, consumer interactions with brands and machines, influencer marketing, brand activism, and consumer engagement.
In addition to his academic contributions, Dr Pradhan currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Management and Labour Studies, a leading management journal published by Sage Publications. He is also an Area Editor for Humanities and Social Sciences Communications, published by Springer Nature.
An accomplished scholar in marketing and consumer behaviour, Dr Pradhan has authored more than 30 research articles published in leading Tier A and Tier A* journals worldwide, according to a press statement.
