Dharwad: Three people were killed and three others injured after the car in which they were travelling rammed into a road divider and overturned on NH-48 near Venkatapur in Dharwad taluk early Tuesday.
The accident occurred around 3.20 am when the car reportedly hit the divider, police said.
The deceased were identified as Manjunath (29), Vinayak (27) and Basavaraj (33).
The injured were identified as Basanagouda Yellappagouda Patil, Abhishek KR and Ajay. They were shifted to a hospital for treatment.
According to sources the victims had stopped at a dhaba for dinner and were travelling towards Dharwad when the accident occurred.
