Dharmasthala Case: Man Alleges Minor Girl's Murder 15 Years Ago to SIT
He added that the SIT had asked him to appear on Monday, when he plans to share all details, documents and witnesses.

Mangaluru:In a new development in the Dharmasthala secret burial case, a man named Jayant T. appeared before the special investigation team (SIT) on Saturday and submitted a complaint about the murder of a minor girl in the temple town about 15 years ago.
Jayant told reporters that he could not come forward earlier because of fear. With the formation of the SIT, he and a few others had gathered the courage to speak up. He added that the SIT had asked him to appear on Monday, when he plans to share all details, documents and witnesses.
“Others also want to depose. Earlier these incidents were suppressed. Now the fear is gone,” he said.
About the murder of a minor girl, believed to be 13-15 years old, Jayant alleged: “I do not know who killed her. I only saw the body. As per the rules the body had to be taken for a postmortem and then buried. In this case there was no FIR. The body was buried quietly. I could not speak then. Today, I have come forward,” he said.
He also referred to an incident of 2012, alleging that a person had been pushed under the bus in what he believed was a murder. Jayant said he was submitting documents and evidence along with his complaint.
“This is not about making allegations. It is about telling what I saw,” he said.
According to sources, the SIT has not been declared as a police station and thus cannot register am FIR. Jayant was asked to go to the local police station to lodge a complaint and if the case is transferred to the SIT, they would investigate the same.
