Congress Files Complaint Against Forged Expulsion Letter Targeting D.K. Shivakumar

In a complaint to High Grounds police, Dhananjaya stated a fabricated letter contains “On the recommendation of the Disciplinary Action Committee of KPCC, D.K. Shivakumar, is hereby expelled from the Congress party for his anti-party activities with immediate effect, subject to the approval of All India Congress Committee (AICC).”

Bengaluru:The spokesperson of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee Legal, Human Rights and RTI Department, C.M. Dhanajaya on Tuesday filed a complaint with the High Grounds police, Bengaluru city accusing social media handlers in the name of of Janata Dal Secular (JDS) of ‘deliberately’ created and circulated a forged and fabricated letter declaring president of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar expulsion from the party over anti-party activities.

In a complaint to High Grounds police, Dhananjaya stated a fabricated letter contains “On the recommendation of the Disciplinary Action Committee of KPCC, D.K. Shivakumar, is hereby expelled from the Congress party for his anti-party activities with immediate effect, subject to the approval of All India Congress Committee (AICC).”

The complaint stated a forged and fabricated letter purportedly issued on the official letterhead of the “All India Congress Committee (AICC)’ and sought action against erring persons stating “The deliberate misuse of digital platform and forgery of official documents amounts to a serious cybercrime.”

Dhananjaya sought the police to register a First Information Report (FIR) against social media handlers in the name of ‘Janata Dal Secular (JDS)’ under various sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita-2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

It may be recalled here D.K. Shivakumar came under criticism from his party colleagues after sung RSS Anthem on the floor of the Assembly in the recently concluded monsoon session. Under fire from his party men/leaders, Shivakumar apologized over singing the RSS Anthem.
