Congress Demands Investigation Into Voters’ Lists Of 2024 Lok Sabha Elections Over “Dubious” Voters

BENGALURU: The members of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) on Friday demanded an investigation of all voters’ lists-2024 Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka suspecting the lists have some egregious errors.
In a memorandum to the Chief Electoral Officer, Bengaluru, signed by president of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah brought to the notice of the Chief Electoral Officer in particular the Bangalore Central Lok Sabha seat containing more than 1 lakh voters either fake/duplicate/ghosts or ineligible out of registered voters of 6.59, 826 voters.
The memorandum said the fake/duplicate/ghosts or ineligible voters in Mahadevapura Assembly seat alone, a part of Bangalore Central Lok Sabha seat, accounts for about 15 percent of all electors. The KPCC came to know about the 15 percent “dubious” voters in Mahadevapura Assembly seat, a reserved seat for Scheduled Castes, after a painstaking exercise for six-months.
When the counting of votes was taken-up in 2024, the memorandum said, Bharatiya Janata Party nominee trailed against Congress nominee in counting of votes of 7 Assembly seats but counting of votes of Mahadevapura Assembly seat done, training BJP nominee got a massive lead of 1, 14, 046 votes and eventually won.
The memorandum to the Chief Electoral Officer demanded investigation of all voters lists of 2024 Lok Sabha election and publish the findings of the Election Commission public highlighting suspicious voters and initiate action against electoral officers who signed fraudulent form-6/7 and 8.
Former minister and BJP leader Aravind Limbavali, a former MLA of Mahadevapura Assembly seat, refuted the allegations of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his allegations of manipulated voters’ lists in Mahadevapura seat in 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
Limbavalli stated double entry of voters are found in Chamarajpet and Shivaji Nagar Assembly seats in Bengaluru city and mentioned the name of Ayesha Banu is found in Chamarajpet in part number 45 and also in 47. Similarly, the name of a voter-Rahamatulla is found in two parts, one in 169 and also in 11. Chamarajpet and Shivaji Nagar seats are represented by Congress MLAs.
