CMO Behind Enrolment Of Fraudulent Voters Including Illegal Bangladeshi Migrants: Kumaraswamy
Kumaraswamy released videos related to his allegations at a press conference in Bengaluru and stated “These videos reveal the disturbing state of our democracy.

BENGALURU: At the behest of Chief Minister’s Office, thousands of fraudulent voters including illegal Bangladeshi migrants to the State were being provided with “fabricated” documents in Ramnagar of Bengaluru South district to enroll the into the Electoral Rolls through the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) by the office of Chief Electoral Officer, Karnataka, alleged Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Steel H.D. Kumaraswamy in Bengaluru on Thursday.
Under the ongoing SIR exercise, Kumaraswamy said Booth Level Officers are required to conduct door-to-door verification of voters but in Ramnagar, instead of door-to-door verification, thousands of people belonging to a particular community were assembled at a community hall in Tipu Nagar and SIR process was conducted en masse and he alleged “such an exercise took place under the directions of Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar.”
Kumaraswamy released videos related to his allegations at a press conference in Bengaluru and stated “These videos reveal the disturbing state of our democracy. The very party that parades the Constitution in its hands is now undermining its spirit. By instilling fear among the people that they will lose their guarantee scheme benefits such as free travel for women in State owned buses, up to 200 units of free power supply to households among others, the Congress party is carrying out this organised racket.”
“I urge the Election Commission of India to intervene immediately and put an end to this illegal exercise,” he said and sought the suspension of Bengaluru South Deputy Commissioner and all officers concerned must be removed from service over their failure in discharging their duties.
The Union Minister suspected that such an exercise was not only restricted to Ramnagar/Bengaluru South but several parts of the State.
CAPTION—Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Steel H.D. Kumaraswamy showed videos of alleged gathering of people at a community hall to conduct Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls as against door-to-door verification of voters in Ramnagar.
