Chief Minister Terms ‘What’s Wrong in Shivakumar or MLA's Dreaming of Becoming Chief minister’
However, he said, ‘When the State Government is on the verge of completion of two-and-half years in power, naturally the question of seat sharing does arise.”

Bengaluru: “What’s wrong in Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar or any of his party MLAs dreaming of becoming Chief Minister,” said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday while dismissing the power sharing arrangement between him and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar after two-and-half rule. He termed the news reports on power sharing as mere ‘rumors.’
Earlier, it was speculated that both Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar travelling to New Delhi for a meeting with Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi would be over power sharing in Karnataka but at a press conference in New Delhi, Siddaramaiah stated media reports as mere speculative with regards to change of Chief Minister in Karnataka.
Adding, he said, “I have clarified I will complete the term in office despite my clarification, power sharing reports often appear in media” and questioned “Why is this so?”
The Chief Minister said the news reports of change in guard in Karnataka is the “creation” of the media and stated “There has been no discussions on seat sharing in the party.” However, he said, ‘When the State Government is on the verge of completion of two-and-half years in power, naturally the question of seat sharing does arise.”
Referring to a statement by Shivakumar, Siddaramaiah said, Shivakumar himself has clarified that Chief Minister’s post is not vacant, besides, added “I and Shivakumar have often stated to go by the decision of the high command.”
