DK Shivakumar Rahul Gandhi's Caged Bird: BJP
In a post on X, the BJP said, "It is the misfortune of Kannadigas that the state has got a remote-controlled Chief Minister in D K Shivakumar"

Bengaluru: The BJP on Tuesday took a swipe at Karnataka CM D K Shivakumar over the alleged delay in allocating portfolios to 19 newly inducted ministers, portraying him as a "remote-controlled Chief Minister" allegedly struggling to take decisions independently.
In a post on X, the BJP said, "It is the misfortune of Kannadigas that the state has got a remote-controlled Chief Minister in D K Shivakumar." The BJP shared a cartoon depicting Shivakumar inside a cage being held by top Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
The caption read, "This is all there is to the Congress story..!"
It further said, "The high command said, 'We will send the list of portfolios ourselves'; DK Shivakumar returns."
The BJP's jibe comes days after Shivakumar expanded his Cabinet on August 3, two months after taking oath as Chief Minister on June 3.
He had initially taken oath along with 13 ministers, while 19 more were inducted on August 3, taking the total strength of the Council of Ministers to 33. However, portfolios are yet to be allotted to the 19 newly ministers, keeping the Cabinet expansion process incomplete.
The state can have a maximum of 34 ministers, including the CM, under the constitutional ceiling, leaving one ministerial position vacant.
