CID Investigation Ordered Into Ballari Clash And Woman Stripping Cases
“A discussion was held with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on transferring both the cases to CID and accordingly order has been issued to hand over the investigations of both the cases to CID,” the Home Minister said

BENGALURU: The Ballari clash which led to a death of a person and an alleged woman stripping in Hubballi will be investigated by sleuths of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) based on the order of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, said Minister of Home Dr G. Parameshwar. The order was issued by the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday.
He explained the Opposition parties doubt the State Government of trying to hush-up both the cases and the transfer of both the cases to CID investigation is to keep transparency.
“A discussion was held with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on transferring both the cases to CID and accordingly order has been issued to hand over the investigations of both the cases to CID,” the Home Minister said and stated “The investigation by CID into Ballari clash and an alleged woman stripping case will bring out the truth and facts will be before the people.
Pressure was mounted on the State Government particularly by the leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) into Ballari clash were supporters of former minister and MLA Gali Janardhan Reddy and Congress Ballari MLA Nara Bharath Reddy broke put over putting banners for a programme to unveil a statue of Valmiki Maharishi at SP circle of Ballari city, some days back.
The clash led to the death of a Congress worker Rajashekar in a firing incident and the CID will investigate what led to the firing, who fired at the crowd among others. Both Gali Janardhan Reddy and Nara Bharath Reddy pointed fingers at each other over the clash.
In Hubballi, BJP MLC and Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy alleged the supporters of Congress ex-corporator Suvarna Kallakuntla intimidated the victim, a dedicated social worker and a political activist, while she was accompanying officials for Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter list in Keshwapur area of Hubballi, week back.
