CESC To Attempt Aerial Formation Of Peacock Using 3,500 Led Drones At Mysuru

It is an attempt TO Beat Its Previous Record: Reports

BENGALURU: Officials of Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) are ready this year to beat its previous Guinness World Record during its drone show on October 17, 18, 20 and 21. Previous year, CESC entered the Guinness World Record with a tiger formation in the night sky using 2, 983 LED drones and this time, officials concerned of CESC are all set to light up the sky by using as many as 3,500 LED drones to create a Peacock formation in the sky. The drone show will be conducted at Torch Light Grounds in Bannimantap of Mysuru city.

After the drone show in Mysuru turned out to be a memorable event in 2025, Minister of Energy K.J. George stated “It’s a proud moment for CESC Mysuru, as we made history at Mysuru Dasara 2025 where 2,983 drones illuminated the night sky to create a majestic tiger (leaping) formation earning a Guinness World Record.”

Exuding confidence of the ensuing drone show breaking its own record, K.J. George stated “A spectacular drone show with 3,500 LED drones on October 17, 18, 20 and 21 at 8 pm we are attempting a Guinness World Record by forming a massive aerial PEACOCK, India’s national bird, in the night sky.” The Minister wanted people to “Witness history (in the making).”

In 2024, CESC officials conducted a show with 1, 500 LED drones and buoyed by the enthusiastic response from the people, CESC organised a 3,000 LED drone show to create a jumping tiger formation to enter the Guinness Book of Records and succeeded in its efforts. Now, CESC plans to conduct the show using 3,500 LED drones to form a Peacock and break its previous record at this Dasara.

Previous year, CESC officials told Deccan Chronicle tiger formation using LED drones broke the previous record of a tiger created artwork using 1,985 drones was set by Dubai Racing Club, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on March 28, 2025. In a record-breaking show in Mysuru, CESC engaged Botland Dynamics based in New Delhi.
