BMTC Launches New Temple Tour Packages From Bengaluru
Weekend trips to famous temples in Bengaluru and Mandya launched for devotees

Bengaluru: Buoyed by the enthusiastic response to its ‘Bengaluru Darshini’ and ‘Bengaluru-Isha Foundation’ tours, the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has now launched a new “Divya Darshana” package tour for devotees and cultural enthusiasts, offering darshan of 8 temples across Bengaluru city.
As part of this city-based package, BMTC will operate air-conditioned buses on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays starting from May 31.
The full-day tour will begin at 8:30 a.m. from Kempegowda Bus Station and will cover Sri Gali Anjaneya Temple, Rajarajeshwari Temple, Shrungagiri Sri Shanmukha Temple, Sri Devi Karumari Ammanavara Temple, ISKCON Temple at Vasanth Nagar, Omkar Hills, Art of Living Sri Sri Ravishankar Ashram, and Banashankari Temple. The tour will conclude by 6:00 p.m., according to a press release on Wednesday. The fare is Rs 450 for adults (inclusive of GST) and Rs 350 for children.
BMTC’s earlier tours — ‘Bengaluru Darshini’ and ‘Bengaluru-Isha Foundation’ — have seen tremendous success, catering to over 50,000 travellers in a year.
In a similar initiative, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced a new weekend package tour covering Bengaluru–Srirangapatna–Kallahalli–Melukote, starting May 31. This Express service, running only on Saturdays and Sundays, covers famous temple towns in Mandya district.
The tour will begin at 6:30 a.m. and return the same evening. Ticket fares are ₹670 for adults and ₹500 for children (ages 6–12). The fare does not include entry fees or the cost of meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), a press release said.
