Bikers Survive Leopard Attack on Them in Kadur
Moorthappa sustained injuries to his head and hands while Manjappa sustained injuries to his left hand. Moorthappa is said to have injured one of his fingers badly in the leopard attack.

Bengaluru: Two persons on a two-wheeeler came under leopard attack near Madagada lake of Emmedoddi near Sakarayapatna in Kadur taluk of Chikkamagaluru on Thursday. Police said the leopard pounced on Manjappa, 56, and Moorthappa in the middle of the road.
Moorthappa sustained injuries to his head and hands while Manjappa sustained injuries to his left hand. Moorthappa is said to have injured one of his fingers badly in the leopard attack.
People nearby were alerted by the screams and rushed to their rescue, gathered at the place and pelted stones at the leopard to drive it away. The injured persons were treated at a hospital. Villagers said a leopard is often sighted in the region and wanted forest officials to trap the leopard to release it elsewhere.
