Bengaluru: Woman's Death Goes Unnoticed For A Year In Her House

BENGALURU: Skeletal remains of a woman identified as Dakshayini aged about 52 was discovered at her house in Havanur Layout under Bagalagunte police station of Bengaluru on Friday evening while police suspect the woman might have breathed her last a year ago. The skeletal remains of Dakashayini were found in her bathroom.

The incident came to the notice of the police after neighbours alerted them over no activities at the house of Dakshayini and growing suspicious something has gone wrong at the house informed the police who on arrival discovered the skeletal remains of the woman. She is said to be living alone while her daughter and son-in-law had not visited her for a long time.

Dakshayini’s husband Umesh died a decade back while her son died of cancer. Since none of her family members visited her, the incident of her death went unnoticed so far and police are investigating the circumstances that led to the death of Dakshayini.

While it looks that the death of Dakshayini to be a natural one, police relying on forensic science experts to establish the cause of death based on skeletal remains of the woman. Police are investigating the woman’s last seen in public before she went out of sight for her neighbours and the reasons behind the woman's death going unnoticed for a long time.
