CCTV footage shows caretaker slamming four-year-old dog to death; police arrest accused under animal cruelty laws
Bengaluru: A caretaker Pushpalatha has been arrested by Bagalur police on charge of allegedly smashing a pet dog causing its death inside a lift in an incident which took place on October 31. Later the violent act of the caretaker of the dogs came to the notice of the pet owner after verification of cctv footage installed inside the lift of her apartment. The caretaker woman after killing the pet dog dragged it with its belt out of the lift.
In the cctv footage, Pushpalatha was seen with two pet dogs in a lift and she smashes one of the pet dogs to the floor of the lift while the other pet dog by the side. The smash hit the floor of the lift hard and reportedly the dog succumbed to its injuries. Later , she pretended before the owners that nothing was wrong from her side which led to the death of one of the pet dogs. Investigations are underway.
